Baby Maver has Arrived

On Saturday, February 25th, contractions began at 2:30 in the morning. Throughout the day they got stronger and closer together. It wasn't until 3:00 pm Sunday that we were admitted to the hospital (it was a long 36 hours). After getting an epidural and some pitocin it only took about 5 hours for Kailey to make her way into the world!

Kailey entered the world at 10:22 pm, weighing 8 lbs. 2 oz., and 21.5 inches long.

After checking Kailey out since she had a bowel movement before delivery, I was finally able to get my hands on her!
First family photo!
Thankful Kailey has finally arrived!!

Gramma got to be in the room when Kailey was born. It didn't take her long to get her hands on her!

Grandpa was able to hold Kailey within minutes of her delivery!

On Monday, after getting some rest, Kailey had her first visitors.
Aunt Tanya (a.k.a. Ta Ta) and cousin Finley were the first to see our newest addition. Finley loved to give hugs.

In between visitors the hearing specialist came and gave Kailey her hearing test! She passed with flying colors!

A little later in the afternoon on Monday, more visitors showed up.

Aunt Megan and Uncle Dan came by to see the little one.

Co-workers from school stopped by.

Amy was also able to come by to meet Kailey.
And of course, Uncle Jon! He is a good snuggler!

Since Connor wasn't able to make it earlier in the day (he was at school), he, Aunt Tanya and Uncle Kevin brought dinner! It was good!
Connor couldn't get enough of his newest little cousin!

Uncle Kevin (a.k.a. IKU) got some good snuggle time. We did have to keep an eye on him. He looks like he is going to eat her!

Since there were a few minor complications during delivery, we stayed a second night in the hospital, just to make sure all was well before going home.

Getting ready to dress Kailey to go home!
Before we left, our nurse made sure we got a hat with a bow on it for our little girl!

I don't know who was more excited for us to be home, us or the puppies. They were very excited to see us and were very hyper. But after having us home and sitting down, the pups became very interested in Kailey.

Katie trying to figure out how to get close to the new thing in our house.
Sure enough, she found a spot! She really wanted to know what the new thing was!

First picture of Kaily with her Hop on Pop!

Ian and I are very excited to finally have our little girl in our arms and have been enjoying every moment with her. We will continue to update the blog as much as possible!
