7 Months Old, September 26, 2012

A week ago, on Wednesday, September 26th, Kailey turned 7 months old. With being back at work, the time is flying by even faster. We cherish every minutes we get with out little girl.

Kailey weighed 17lbs and 6 ounces and was 27 inches tall. She is not quite gaining the weight like she did at her younger months, but she is continuing to put on weight! YEAH!

We still have yet to see her roll over, there really isn't a need to. She goes as far as she can without actually getting on her belly, grabs what she wants and rolls back. However, she definitely is a sitting pro and anytime a hand comes near, she will reach and start to pull up.

She is enjoying solid foods as shown in previous posts and enjoys sitting in the chair with toys.

With early rising to get to daycare, Kailey is in bed asleep by 6:30 and only wakes once to eat and has been then sleeping until 7:15 or so. We have had to wake her up a few times to get out the door in the morning.

She is enjoying daycare and we always love to hear about her day! She keeps them busy! Sadly we did have our very first cold/fever. It was harder on us than her I think. Luckily I was able to take a day off and she had another day with Aunt Tanya and her cousins. Below are a few 7 month old pics.

Look into my blue eyes!

Who needs a nice looking sign?

A Month of Adventure

The first adventure I had was my first Oregon Duck Game (on T.V.). Of course I didn't stay up to watch, my bedtime is between 6:15 and 6:30, but Dad I got dressed up to support our team.

Dad is really excited!

Showing my standing abilities.

Another new adventure was getting out my booster chair. As you can see, Jack and Katie love it too.

Here I am eating zucchini. It use to be a favorite.

Wait a second, what is in my bumbo?

A Watermelon??? Now the real reason my booster chair came out.

My taste for pureed food has dminished, but I do love food my parents eat.

Here I am taking my daddy's apple. It sure is good.

With real food comes real dogs. My parents enjoy the help. They keep me clean.

Really mom and dad?
I guess it is alright.

Bring it on Katie.

One day while daddy was at work mommy let me eat in the livingroom. Here I am taking on an apple.

OOOOH, camera. I am learning what to do when I see it.

See, below are pictures of me when the camera came out. I am showing off my sitting ability.

Below I am having my first experience with a whole carrot, who needs pureed food??

My newest trick is dumping. Mom puts everything into the bucket and I dump it!

Ta Da!!

Dad set up a Fantasy Football League with some family and friends and since we have NFL ticket we get to see them on some Sundays.

This past Sunday, Dan, Megan, Uncle Kevin, Aunt Tanya, Connor and Finley came to play. I had a blast watching my cousins and Finly had a blast reliving her babyhood. She was noticing some toys that looked familiar. Shhhh, don't tell her, Aunt Tanya slipped them to my mom when she wasn't looking. But I am a good sharer. Just see below.

As you can tell by Finley's legs, she is a little big for the toy, but I let her try it out!

6 Months Old!

On Sunday, August 26, 2012 Kailey turned 6 months old, the day before we had to go back to work.

Kailey has taken a loving to solid foods. Some of her favorites are sweet potatoes, butternut squash, peaches, and zucchini (her favorite). She has also started to enjoy pieces of banana.

Kailey is sleeping well, only getting up once a night to eat and goes right back to sleep! She recently got her big girl crib from her cousin Kailey, pictures will come soon.

Kailey has still not rolled one way or the other, but has mastered her sitting skills. The doctor said the rolling is not a big deal, it will happen one day!

She has also found a love for her puppies. In the morning and when whe get home from work Kailey will give her attention to the puppies before she takes time for us. Let's just say the dogs love Kailey's dinnertime. They help us clean up.

Kailey loves all sorts of toys, her favorites include her mini Shopie, boxes and paper. Christmas will be easy this year!

Here are some of her 6 month pictures.
Big smiles.

Checking out her sign.

Kailey loves to reach for everything she can get her hands on.

And everything goes into the mouth these days.

Since mom went back to work and so did all her other teacher friends, they have been making some time to get together. Here we are will Hadley and Ms. Sarah. We went for a fun walk. The weather was wonderful!

Tryinig out sitting up in the bath, I am still not too sure about it, I have gone back to laying down.

Now that Duck season is back it is time to pull out my Ducks. Sadly I don't have as many as my dad but it is a good start.

Katie and Jack like to join too.

More pictures soon!

Summertime with the Parents

Kailey has gotten to experience her first summer with her parents. We have had the joy of having the last two months off with her and enjoyed every moment. We cannot believe it is almost over. We have done many fun things.

A few weeks back we had some friends from the Evergreen group over. Since I went back to work we haven't had many encounters!
Two of Kailey's buds.

Kailey showing off her biting ability.

She is going to get the hair.

Like usual, Kailey was asleep when the group pictures were taken.

Can we get them to stay?

Hey, we did it! Sort of.

Another first this past month, Kailey got her first tooth and second tooth. She sure can chomp now!

You can barely see them here.

She is good at getting her tongue in the way.

Kailey got to spend some quality time with Aunt Tanya, Connor and Finley. While there Aunt Tanya was able to get pigtails in K's hair. It has been fun finding new ways to pin those bangs back!

A while back we went to a dog show down in Juanita with our friends Lydia and Sophia.

We thought the relay races were cool!

Ian and I were very excited for the annual Bechan reunion (family reunion that isn't ours). We couldn't wait for Kailey to meet all her fun extended family!

Kailey with Aunt Michelle, Uncle Nick, and Aunt Val.

Getting some good use out of her teeth.

One of the highlights of our summer was Aunt Christy and Uncle Kik's wedding at Cannon beach! It was a wonderful Maver Family trip.

We made it to the "Castle" house before the rest of the family so we decided to take Kailey to the beach for the first time. The access point was right across he street! So nice!

The 16th or August was her very first trip to the beach!

Baby and daddy!

They knew she was coming. Someone made Kailey her very own castle.

Loving daddy!

This trip was also Kailey's first time meeting her cousins Parker and Cooper. Cooper loved her hair and Parker was her protector.

Parker loving his cousin.

Oh, and eating my chin.
Well, really eating anything she can get her hands on.

Wedding Day
Cousin Cooper was coming after Kailey's "pretty" flower.

Don't the look so cute?

Kailey fell asleep before the ceremony and Gamma got to get the snuggles. And YES, that is Uncle Bob in the back. The Hargartens drove up and surprised us all!

We finally made it to the beach as an entire family.

It was sunny and bright so my glasses came out!

Dad and Uncle Rob actually swam in the frozen waters!

Grandma helped Parker build a sand castle.

Grandpa found a new office. She sure had an amazing view.
